Honoring All Who Served

The Pride of Our Country

by Roger Robicheau

Today as before, our brave do fight
For a land they love, a flag so right

The pride of our country, yes they are
The strength of our nation, best by far

Just as our brave from each war gone by
They march for us proudly, flag held high

From all over this land they come to serve
They’re taught by the best, this they deserve

When troops give their all, the world does see
Whether serving on land, in the air, or at sea

The pride from this country, march through war
With home drawn strength, held deep in their core

Our best are so awesome, their loved ones well know
May God guide their journey where they - for us - go

What these brave must have is support from their own
The love from their people, firm thankfulness shown

Our greatest achievement is that we’re still free
Please take time and ponder who caused this to be.

God Bless,

Jenny

My New Find

My DH is an auctioneer, Hoffman Auction Service this past week we had a two day auction, Thursday evening was the household items. And, Saturday was the shop equipment.  I snapped this picture to share.DSC07494

I have never seen a corner wicker chair. It was in very nice condition. The lucky high bidder took the chair home for $175.00.

Here is my purchase for the evening. I’m sure at one time there was a bottom half to it, but I love this early cupboard just the way it is.  I can’t wait to get it cleaned and put in my house. I will snap a couple pictures when I have it  finished.   DSC07490

It’s black with an old red paint on the inside.  Perfect for where I want to set it!!

I wish I would have taken more pictures of other items. I will do better at the next auction…

Have a great week,

Jenny

New Beginnings

My daughter started her first year of college this Fall. It has been a "big" adjustment for us at home, as well as being an adjustment for her too. It helps seeing pictures of her having fun and making new friends. She and her roommate were having a good time playing mud volleyball!!

I know she is spending equal time studying too!! Smiles
Enjoy your day,
